Early Childhood Program
We
use an Emergent Curriculum model of early childhood education. Teachers create
specific curriculum by actively engaging with the children in play, and then
building from their questions, interests and curiosities. The broad theme of our
learning is the natural world and the yearly Jewish cycle.
Free Exploration lets children choose activities at learning centers ranging
from math in the form of block building, puzzles and manipulatives; to science
in the form of magnets, water or sound; to journaling in the form of emerging
drawing and letters; to the arts in the form of music, dramatic play and process
art.
A central focus of our program is Social and Emotional learning geared to the
whole child. We use our 5000-year old traditions and values as a resource in
fostering a strong sense of self in each child, as well as solid, nurturing
connections with peers, teachers and the classroom community.
Each member of our Award Winning Faculty is a certified, experienced, loving and
caring teacher who is passionate about creating learning environments from a
child’s eye view of the world, broadening children’s horizons and nurturing
young minds and hearts.
Our
preschool program is offered for three, four and five days. There are full and
half day options. Our Jr-Kindergarten program is offered for four or five days. There
are full and half day options. Full days are from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm; half days
